Located on the former RAF Doncaster site, the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum offers a rich and varied collection spanning early aviation to Cold War jets. Visitors can explore aircraft flown at Britain’s first airshow in 1909, Falklands War veterans, and modern fast jets.

The museum features indoor and outdoor exhibits, interactive displays, and open cockpits, with highlights including the “11 Weeks in 1982” Falklands War gallery, recreated WWII Operations Room, and the Northern Battle of Britain Memorial.

Facilities include free on-site parking, accessible toilets and ramps, a museum shop with refreshments, picnic benches, and dog-friendly areas. The site is wheelchair and pram accessible, with guided tours and cockpit walkthroughs available. Restoration work is often visible, offering insight into aircraft conservation.
