Description

The Sywell Aviation Museum is a volunteer-run charity nestled in five historic Nissen huts at Sywell Aerodrome, charting Northamptonshire’s aviation story from its 1920s beginnings through World War II and beyond.

Themed halls cover the RAF and Allies, USAAF, Luftwaffe and local aerodrome history, while interactive displays include a full Link Trainer, a Chipmunk cockpit experience and a recreated Lancaster wireless operator’s station.

Visitors can explore extensive ordnance and uniform collections, relic aero-engines and propellers, and external exhibits such as a Hawker Hunter Mk 2 and Handley-Page Jetstream. Free admission and parking make it easy to drop in on weekends and bank holidays for a hands-on journey through flight heritage.
