Description
The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds Dock is Britain’s national museum of arms and armour, housing the National Collection that spans 700 years and six continents. Housed in a purpose-built landmark opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996, it features five themed galleries, a dramatic Hall of Steel trophy staircase and daily live combat demonstrations. Interactive displays include immersive crossbow ranges, armour-fitting experiences and family-friendly hands-on zones. The museum also offers a café overlooking the River Aire, a well-stocked gift shop, free Wi-Fi, a research library, accessible lifts and hearing-loop induction throughout the galleries.
