Description

The Buccaneer Aviation Group is a volunteer-led charity at Cotswold Airport (formerly RAF Kemble) dedicated to preserving Blackburn Buccaneer jets XX894 and XW544, restored to full operational condition.

These low-level nuclear strike aircraft take center stage during public “Buccaneer Engine Run” events, where spectators can feel the roar of Rolls-Royce Spey engines, witness hydraulics demonstrations, and capture close-range photos on the airside maintenance pan.

TBAG hosts regular open days and themed engine-run days, providing exclusive behind-the-scenes access and interactive experiences. Through these efforts, the group shares the Buccaneer’s Cold War legacy and educates visitors on its pivotal role in Britain’s air defence network.
