Description

The Jet Age Museum is a volunteer-run charity at Meteor Business Park, Gloucester, celebrating over 100 years of local aviation heritage—from Frank Whittle’s early jet trials to Cold War interceptors. Its undercover hangar houses a full-size Gloster E.28/39 replica, several Meteor variants, a delta-wing Javelin, Trident and Vulcan cockpits with timed guided walks, plus a growing restoration workshop of historic airframes and aero-engines.

Visitors can climb into interactive cockpits, browse hands-on exhibits and watch live restoration in action. On-site amenities include the Jet & Whittle Café (hot drinks, cakes, picnic benches), a well-stocked gift shop of books, models and souvenirs, free parking, accessible toilets, and a community hall for private hires and group events. Admission is free (donations welcome), open weekends year-round with extra holiday openings.
